reflectioooons

i overheard a conversation which went
"it pains me to see that my brother has numerous wedding invitations all year round, while i have only had maybe at most 3 wedding invitations my whole life" the contents of e conversation further down emphasized e loneliness within. hmmmmm...

i was sitting in the sch auditorium, ready to receive my award. flipping thru e booklet for college day, i was rather amazed by e choice of most outstanding student and valedictorian. chin chin ian?! and that literature girl?! hmmmm... it doesnt take a person long enough to wonder what is at work behind e scenes. hmmmmmm...

mr and mrs watt, my grandma's employers came down to sg for a visit yesterday. it was a great pleasure to meet them, and to understand more about my mom's childhood. they were a great bunch of ppl, similar when their children came down to sg few years back. practically remembering everyone of our names, even mine, when i wasnt physically around when mr and mrs watt were working in sg like 30 years back. it really warms your heart beyond anything. and it was still melancholy of the old memories when my grandma peeled prawns for the both of them around e dining table. servant yesterday, servant today. how apt. 2 families, both in which children and adults grew up together, up till today there is still no change in the status superiority shroulded by care and understanding. reminds me of e relationship in kite runner. when mrs watt shook my hand weakly, assuring e 20 odd of us in the living room that she wud be back next year, we all knew deep down that that maybe a hope that wud never come thru. yet, we bade farewell to the both of them as they were whisked back to their hotel to catch e flight back home. many of us knowing that tonight might be the last meeting. hmmm...

e final summary exercise, exercise grandslam finally concluded on thursday. everyone of us rejoiced in totally shagged bodies that we are finally passing out. it has been a great journey in golf platoon 4, happening and fun bunch of people. all e shit we did in the past 9 weeks were unimaginable, all e fun we had will be unforgettable, all e bonds we forged are unbreakable. "yes, corporal." hmmm...
