pc fair today was a human hell. toured around e place, but there was nothing much for me to feast upon, except the razor mice/mousepads, viewsonic/samsung lcd slurpy deals and snbb recontract offers. well, decided to hold back my guns for e moment - yc, dun forget ns is not over yet! though ur in airforce :p
anyways, i had a great chance, perhaps once in a lifetime, to actually meet my kindergarten mate. though long forgotten in my memory, reminiscent of kiterunner, one of my best playmates in those 'era' came up to me and with the most innocent, welcoming and vivid voice greeted me, explained why he was standing infront of me, scrutinising me. i cudnt remember any names to go with e familiar face, but he just shot his name, and my mind lighted up. it was as if i was brought back to life, i shook his hand with such happiness of recovering something great, something meaningful. we had a short chat, before parting ways as he was working for razor as a promoter. that few minutes made me really wake up from this deep dream. all this relentless persuit of achievement, as from "tuesdays with morrie", haf they shrouded my mind of my history, my memories? he aint from a jc, but his first thought when he saw me, was without doubt, recognising his history, and without deliberating, coming forth to greet me with such excitement. i can never do it, i know. this situation made me think of reunion too. the feeling of meeting up with someone who once changed ur life was exceptional. it made me feel like getting back with my pri sch mates, my sec sch mates, my jc sch mates. like this ex-ij who wrote a emotional essay to ST review, who called upon her ex-classmates to come from all over e world to a reunion, a reunion that is unprecdented, but well may be the last. i do not wish to be doing that when im old, i wan to make e difference now.
i recall my group of 6 great frens. one left for shanghai. one left us quite abruptly for reasons we may never know. it was never easy for e 4 of us, missing e laughter and spontanity that they brought us. i recall the smile he brought, the big brother henchmen he was. he once told me not to be selfish and think for e group. i hope he is reading this now, i want to say i realised it, but haf he? we are missing e jigsaws to our perfect picture, and it is a plea to him where-ever he is. the other guy from shanghai is coming home soon, much to our delight. we are recovering e final pieces of the uncompleted puzzle. i hope to see a finished and well pieced finale, like when it all began.
