you light up my life.

seeing things in a jovial perspective.
in life, there are many things to laugh about, to smile upon rather than to spend time dwelling upon stuff, getting frustrated, dismantled and distraught. i have learnt it from tuesdays with morrie and more importantly, learning it right from life. here are e instances.

mrbrown.com, by e all famous podcaster to many (its quite sad that youngsters only recognise him from that corny brilliance rather than his literacy legacy almost forgotten, that of articles in Today columns), as well as talkingcock.com are great sites to chill out from a stressing day. sad though, its only in the light of PM Lee's rally speech that they gained extra spotlight from the public, not that they had not been around since my secondary school days (more of talkingcock.com). anyways, they are great sites to listen to, to snigger at their persistently non-political jokes and stuff. check this out, they quoted zoe tay replying to qn on her beautiful skin or sth, that her secret is that "she swallows". haha, i tot its funny enough :p but wells, its these ppl who make things happen, rather than those who brainessly blabber the tot of making things happen in beauty contests.

there are really nice shoes out there these days, you me dupree, breakup, which i tot was quite funny, and many more to come! saw3, worldtradecentre, flags of our fathers are all making their local debut here in october, right after the release of talkincock.com's production - singapore dreaming. i have a plea here though, PLEASE LAUGH ALL YOU CAN IN THE BLOODY CINEMA when you watch funny shows. singaporeans are really -.- in the theatre viewing comedies. during the trailer for you me dupree, i was laughing so hard at almost every hidden joke they intended, but the cinema was barely rocking even with the scene when dupree disturbed e couple making out by needing to shit in their masterbedroom's toilet, and oh he din close the door. its damn funny plz, even if you think its low down, you paid for the entry, why not just laugh it off, laugh off your problems, your situation that is depressing, laughing off even if you are satisfied enough with life. dun be so freaking serious until you mistake meesiam for laksa !

open up! many a time, for guys especially, we play games, both sports and computer games with such aggression and fevour that we often end up missing the exact essence the games were meant to promote. today i just played in a soccer mtach in sembawang, with a really cock-up referee and quite a physical team due to their mature age. we were winning 5-0 by halftime, and i made several 1on1 saves, the guys played generally well too. but yet, people were not happy, second half, one gave a gesture when he was tugged from behind, something the referee already obviously spotted. the game den turned into a tension filled 45 minutes, where both teams were just running running aimlessly without a serious game plan. i had to make a important save from a freekick on e edge of e area, tipping the drive upwards, smashing the crossbar and across for the corner. the guys applauded and it was great enough to be appreciated. compare it to me starting to go violent on a player who smashed into me when i grabbed the bouncing ball from midair. come on, a game is just a game only. we are moreover winning. for computer games, many a time i join my frens for dota, and their mentality is to win. instead, i would rather be the one talking cock in the [all] section while playing, injecting life to the entire atmosphere, do stupid things that make the guys laugh, be killed by other heroes cause i run into their base to drop items as a bad game gesture. but its just funny to do that, and its enjoyable. i dun find fun winning games, not that i find fun losing them, but its the mentality that we should adopt at the start of things, tat maybe the result would be much better. think positive and work on it, we may never know when a superstar is born, or a record is broken.

there are just too many in this week that touched my heart on this issue, something that i felt should be shared around. i feel that we are still too serious people around, and opening up is important! if you dun feel for this idea, perhaps you could try losing a fren of 6 years who is trapped within his troubles. then you will believe the need for us to open up, to open up n see the beautiful world, and not be consumed by within.

that brings me to the beautiful d&d last night. forget the girls, there was this damn yandao guy, i was talking to pk about for prolly the whole night. haha, he look damn cool, but ya, quite expensive guy, wears d&g and stuffs. ok fine, e food was ok, haha, e shitakes were devoured by ME :p no lar.. i think there werent shitakes, just button mushrooms and other fungi. sighs. our table wasnt exactly the best too, though the guys sitting with us tried their best to make us feel at home, felt nice though. were supporting yeerae at the d&d, and her makeover was not too bad, but din manage to win obviously cause e other girls were so hiao. but practically brainless. -.- they speak with such urgh, and answer questions with spastic answers, not that i can do any better but seriously, dun participate if you are not gd enough. it was a good night despite the stuff, walked along orchard road after we met up with yeerae after the d&d which ended past midnight, sat down at istana park, just like what we did in sec4 prom night. melancholy, welcome back. but i had to make a move early at 230, since i had soccer at sembawang at 9am today, sighs, otherwise perhaps the rest (we) could have stayed later and torn over at someone else's house. anyways, it was gd enough, my camera's photos din turn out very gd, but i have a nice one for show at least! haha. enjoy.
