you make me feel so small in your enormous presence
your wonderful community of
kind, welcoming and warm people
peppered with humour and massive doses of intelligence
your richness in university life made up of
almost daily concerts/plays/performances from student bodies and external organisations
weekend sports games all the way from basketball to tennis to wrestling
free midnight supper (fine dining quality) buffets of nacho bars, salad bars, pasta bars that extend until 2am
career fairs and industry talks aplenty
student activities groups that cannot even be listed because they are countless and really countless
a real daily newspaper that is home to Uni of Michigan - the Michigan Daily
your quality in providing an education truly world class
with facilities that span the entire university campus the size of Serangoon
so good that even a 24" mac becomes unattractive
that any resource you ever need for study/research/engineering can be found
and people actually can point you to them instead of taking countless of steps and ending up at start again
and the libraries here are 24/7 while in fact almost half the school is 24/7 to behind with
with professors who can really teach and go beyond their research work
and humour the class once in awhile amidst all the engineering technical jargon
and communicate EFFECTIVELY, coherently and almost persuasively most of the time
and really know everything under the sun with qualifications only from prestigious colleges such as Stanford or MIT
with people around you so good that you are forced to improve
and learn the US way - the intuitive way without memorising unnecessarily
with countless of activities available in campus that you can expand your academic knowledge
and not be restricted by the overused "no funding" reason
where anyone can really just set up a common interest group and start work on just anything
with this collaborative work ethic here that forces you to interact and be spontaneous
and not harp on the academic rubric for communication
your beauty in the setting sun
the landscape that dawns every evening is stunning even in this snowy winter
with the landscape so well sculptured that everything looks great in photos
with the meaning so well captured in the entire essense of this whole Ann Arbor place
that transcends the physical meaning of the photos
