expectation brings disasters

many say the power to hope keeps man alive, but they have never realised that with expectation comes disaster.

here is a follow up on the brave joan chan, something new that i tot should be shared with the community.

should we live to hope?

anyway i met my ex classmate downtown in marina sq last night, where she was in a class gathering. chat with her over sms for quite awhile and it left me quite thinking about this:
my expectations of a girlfriend.
most of the people who know me well have told me that what im asking for is almost impossible, something that only happens in fantasy. i have never verbally or visually spelt out my expectations to anyone as it would contain an inexhaustible list of qualities and i see no point to do so. but for today, i shall work my brain to come up with somethings that i think will do the job.
1. she must be untainted! (my ns frens are already telling me to ask for the sky)
2. she must be independent
3. she must be cute
4. she must be able to open me up
5. she must have passion for soccer
6. she must have initiative!
7. she must LOVE travelling
8. she must LOVE photography, if not, learn to love her isolated moments while i take pictures :P
9. she must appreciate books esp tuesdays with morrie and kite runner
10. she must have a passion for helping ppl
11. she must know swimming
12. she should be sportyyyy
hmms, there are many more should haves and must haves but im definitely not listing all of them down.. before i become rated as the worse guy around by everyone else. but ya, sneak preview!
oh, expectation brings disasters, but it is this expectation and hope that keeps me waiting. and i have been for years.
