towering

make sure you watch until the end or this clip is meaningless.
sometimes its reminiscent of bad dreams such as one where you speed in a heavy vehicle negotiating a severe bend on a highway flyover and end up flipping, crashing into the building's billboard smack on. when you feel the g forces gripping your heart you shriek and wake up in your dream to find out its all over. but sometimes its just not the case.

Chantal Kreviazuk - Leaving on a jetplane

All my bags are packed
And I'm all ready to go.
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye.
But the dawn is breaking, it's early morn.
The taxi's waiting, he's blowing his horn,
Already I'm so lonesome I could die.

[Chorus]
So kiss me and smile for me,
Tell me that you'll wait for me,
Hold me like you'll never let me go.
'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again -
Oh Babe, I hate to go.

There's so many times I've let you down,
So many times I've played around,
I tell you now, they don't mean a thing.
Every place I go, I think of you,
Every song I sing, I sing for you,
When I come back, I wear your wedding ring.

[Chorus]

Now the time has come to leave you,
One more time now let me kiss you,
And close your eyes, I'll be on my way.
Dream about the days to come.
When I won't have to leave alone,
About the times I won't have to say...

[Chorus]

i never realised that this wonderful rendition of leaving on a jetplane by this person was in the soundtrack of armageddon. it was a wonderful story, action and emotions packed, music wise, who else can complain about the theme song dont wanna miss a thing, the all famous armageddon and this beautiful song.
whenever i hear this song, its give me real tranquility in the midst of life. it holds the fondest memories the 4 of us had in KL. im sure each of us will remember the night where we stayed out late at twin towers, only managing to find an opened gloria jeans outlet where we were the only customers. the wonderful lights and shimmering water reflections(the park surrounded by the massive structure) as the backdrop, we drank our drinks while sitting on elevated bar-style chairs. the peaceful and serene atmosphere was intertwined with music that included this song. we talked abt it, and we talked about everything thru the night. i guess this are things which shaped our lives in the deepest moments and will remain dear for as long to come.
