sometimes when u want to fly, you just cant
and a emirates landing at changi airport
wonderful? i dunno, but i really envision this day that i can sit in the cockpit and be piloting a commercial jetliner across 1 sunset and a sun rise, across 4 continents. and it should be Singapore Airlines. only the best and the best. sadly, for now i can only hope and look at such youtube videos. maybe one day you will see the same video from me. planes are just so beautiful under the orange sunlight that accentuates its class. somebody help me.
如果全世界我也可以放弃
至少还有你值得我去珍惜
而你在这里就是生命的奇迹
也许全世界我也可以忘记
就是不愿意失去你的消息
你掌心的痣我总记得在那里
very meaningful lyrics, i hope it touched you as much as it did for me. perhaps you already know this song from sandy lam, its 至少還有你.
sometimes listening to older songs give you a better emotional grasp that is sorely lacking from modern pop, a whirlpool around much totally nonsensical content related to sex and violence. its calmer and its almost the closest to real songs. it is the past that produced melodious singers with vocals so beautiful compared to the new age singers who sell songs with their facial and body features. of cos, there are exceptions to the world today like zhang hui mei, fan wei qi, mariah carey, celine dion, elton john, josh groban.. for now, i think im more inclined towards the 90s era chinese songs where most of the content are, surprisingly related to lost love or broken love. its really nice to hear them, some of them are most of our childhood songs that our parents used to listen to and they do bring back memories.
and oh, with that i just remember that i have to buck up my mandarin. its been ages that i have been wanting to do so and i really think i haf to put in effort now. the 7 days in hainan really showed me the way that its still not late to pick up the pieces and fix them back again and be a proud chinese. chinese has always been a beautiful language, i learnt it more so in j2 when there was this appreciation lesson about it where the lecturer talked about chinese being the ONLY pictorial language that works a different side of the brain. all the other languages work on alphabets to phonetics while only chinese requires u to picture the character to find its meaning/sound. amazing. and learning the unsimplified chinese only gives u a even more majestic picture to the true meaning of the character, how it evolved to the character as of today. ok damn, but i haven done anything yet. i think first i shud start with reading chinese papers, but i have to start buying them. laziness is something i haf to curb badly. den again there are many other things i wan to do! i gotta read up some econs knowledge, read more books, work.. argh. i need to stop procrastinating!. help.
