exciting twist

along the sidewalks of esplanade, the 3 of us made our way through the disgusting crowd to have a peak at 2007's first fireworks. we sent msgs jokingly to ks who, i can remember, in camp doing duty. we were trying to meet up with alvin who was out with another group of friends. that was how we spent 31st dec 2006.
i was talking to jing yest and i asked him if he remembered this very day 1 year ago. he needed some prompting but in the end he remembered more than i did. i guess we all do remember the times spent together esp in 2006 and 2007 where most of us had schedules that never coincided thanks to the constitution that took 2 years of our time away.

facebook, youtube and the sub prime fracas characterised a violent 2007 for the world. i dont know if you did enjoy your 2007, i am just pleased its over and whatever twists which happened added sweetness to an otherwise monotonous year.
i cannot describe 2007 in much more vivid detail other than listing down what had happened.
- given a really unexpected chance to study in UK, i thank everyone for that
- finished serving my forced obligation, of cos i made great friends here, memories worth cherishing
- went bangkok, pattaya, hainan island, cambodia in a space of 3 months. it was really the best break i cud ever ask for right after NS
- met really inspiring people along the way, i remember them deep in my heart
- a good year of having 6 tutees, my most so far, all jc kids..

i am excited at what 2008 brings, yet i am not willing to hope for anything right now. the unseen future is what will keep 2008 going for me, right till 31st december 2008 i will look back and see how this year has progressed. maybe by then i would be preparing for winter in england, or i could be looking at aeroplane models in singapore. just next month, i dont know how will my tuition work work out, how will my relief teaching proceed on, it could just be for one month and im off to do another job that i will embark on. for all you know, it could be at an events company overseeing some golden horse awards or i could rent rickshaws and work downtown, chauffeuring foreigners around the city for couple of bucks each day. i am in awe of the possibilities ahead. the year might proceed with a F1 ticket in the singapore grand prix or an old trafford ticket to watch manu against arsenal. i just cant wait to see how it unfolds. tmr is a new beginning which i wait with abated breath.
