will you sing singapore?

the long journey to ndp finally culminated with a fitting splendid fireworks ending. its heartening that after weeks and weeks of burnt saturdays you finally enjoy with the rest of singapore the hardwork put in, letting them appreciate the final product. standing in the platform together with the parade participants i felt their pride as much as they do for themselves.
and you cant help to feel a hair raising sense of fulfillment when the pages of the straits times are splashed with dignified photos of glamour and splendour of the entire event which i have seen right from the start.
you cant.. cant just imagine your saturdays freed like mine today. its an empty feeling of sorts that still transports you back to the days of neesoon camp or hall 403 in suntec convention hall where history was made.

presenting ndp 2007 @ marina bay.

im a happy man right after ndp. it was a super tough week for most of us because unit's resources were taxed to the max. people did not realise the fun people whom they interacted with all the way from the start to ndp actual day were people who had a very special duty of protecting the country. but yea, exercise is over and its most prolly the last last last exercise that im going to mount in my nsf life. can you believe it, its the last. oh wells, nothing is still that confirmed until the end. but at least it gives hope rite. yar hope, that's what keeps people going even if it complements delusion.
sometimes when i think of the work that i haf to put in to apply to cambridge it kills me straight. like what alvin said its already the first filter. no wonder so few people make it there. the application process is such a crappy and lengthy shit that abhors most people and cut it short. sighs. its alot more work to do and alot more words to write. haha. sometimes writing the personal statement and re-reading it for amendments makes you feel disgusted. i mean its so bhb that you haf to make it look to impress the people who 'want' you in. sighs. this seems to be the world. i want to change it, but i can only change it after i get in. that always happens. no wonder nothing happens. aspirations and dreams get brought down as man progresses i guess. its nothing new.

anyways to you guys who ever wondered what's fatherly love, here's a video that will tell you this is what it means. its giving up and trying.
