believe me, i believe in everyone.
better said than done.
cny is coming once again! it looks set to be my last cny celebration in sg before a 3-4 year long hiatus from this, i hate to say, meaningless tradition. i mean the entire idea embarked on the chinese tradition of showing off. showing off your sons, your daughters, more so results of their phoenixes and dragons/career paths threaded in singapore, how well you are currently doing, what lobangs can you seek from each other and stuff. well, the gathering den offers a chance to pull people together to spend money on the next favourite pastime of local chinese - eating. well, i must admit that the variety of food and its splendour is well worth the celebration in that sense. the ugly side is the greed displayed thou. coincidentally or unfortunately, the celebrations being about a flurry of greed activities which plagues chinese whatever level of hierarchy you are. the lowest form comes from the simple idea that you have to make sure ALL your kids appear in the bloody visiting house and make sure you're not short-changed in terms of the red-packet money or avoid the visiting hours of the family who has a sow as the matriarch. den comes the idea of feasting upon the goodies provided. of cos, free is gd. so take lor. den, the more intelligent, or sadly to say the least of all, will indulge themselves in some gambling activities which they claim is part of the tradition. well of cos, it is that's why its meaningless. if everyone were to listen to the real tradition and wear red undies with an inverted 'wealth' character den who is to be the loser in such gambling? well, perhaps their god of fortune slips you money when you start to lose or you will walk past a 50 dollars note the next moment and continue a great year ahead. i think its a joyous celebration to celebrate the chinese history and etc. im definitely not the best person to talk about over such issues but of cos, im a bystander overlooking this sad change to what we all proudly say - tradition. i can tell you those were not our values to begin with.
that aside. there has been rumours about the A levels date. i was discussing with afew other people about the stuff. i mean back in our time, i was just disconnected with the world and waited for the day. we were definitely hoping the results release will be on the 12th feb(monday) whilst the announcement of it take place on 6th feb(tuesday). haha. can you imagine the way those people will shudder while eating their mandarin oranges? or see them lao yu sheng with such a forced smile, the burden bearing down heavily eventually. WAKE UP. it will not change. anyways it issnt that date in the rumours people. of cos, it might just happen. depends on their mood i guess.
for now..
this is epitome of errr.. i dunno wad. you guess it

let me complete it for you:
epitomised apathy at its pinnacle.
anyway, tts the cynical-you talking about CNY right? i still think its great to have stuff like CNY because it is about the only time when pple actually get around and know that pple are still well and alive (literally). so yeah, even if the same old draggy topics get churned out, you can always be excused for giving the same old lousy answers :)
