ok, we managed to get together for one last time (in this year, at least) at changi airport for ks's send off. its a really brave decision to hit australia and lie independently. i really wonder when the crunch time comes for me, if it does, will i be able to go into the immigration gantry at ease. he showed his side of excitement and anxiousness. it was something quite uncommon for him haha, well, shen ye shi ren :) haha.
ok anyways, here are some photos from the gathering and that's how the few of us look at as on 15th feb 2008.
the 5 of us at coffeeclub, T3

us celebrating jing's bday and ks's send off

and take a look at us 2 years back. looks like little did change over the years. (:

ok finally, a photo of me and alvin while we were working on the memorable cards for ks. haha. posed with the drafts we made.

one down, i wonder how many more will start to separate as the years go by. certain songs start to pop up in the mind such as graduation and peng you. these meanginful but common songs just cannot bring out the uniqueness of each event that passes thru our lives. the void will remain, and we will talk abt such times as we relish them. haf fun!
anyways, i survived saturday! went to the aerospace conference in the morning. i guess it just made me realise one thing as a bystander. aj students are really not cut out or have the self conduct that make them stand out. the way they carry themselves is just like any typical students, i mean i was there once, and looking back, i really wished someone cud haf woken me up and made me realise how the world works to pursue ur dreams. cutting that topic out b4 further disgusting elaboration, it was a gd seminar in total. i actually met my encik from airforce there, i mean ya, its quite expected but i totally din remember/make an effort to think that airforce people were at the scene. wells, i learnt quite abit from those talks, which if i were sent 2 years back, i prolly wudnt even bother to half listen. its a really different ballgame now that im in the loop and hoping for the breakthru. end of the seminar i actually did something that i felt proud of. normally, you wudnt expect me approaching people to sell myself and stuff, but i actually did that to a guy at the EADS innovation works booth. in the end he turned out to be one of the 15 people based here from EADS and he's a PhD holder :( sighs. but it was an informative talk and check this out, i managed to get him to fish out his namecard willingly and offered me a chance to contact him! i shall work on it! (: gd day gd day.
night was spent at chingay. the only most exciting thing that i did not expect was the F1 car. its really amazing, the way it bobs up and down on the surface of the roads as it flies(really literally) past at an amazing speed. i totally understand why people are willing to spend a month's pay just to catch 20 of them in action. they represent the apotheosis of technology, really.
today is equally, if not more interesting! i mean for the early morning part. afternoon was spent sleeping in to catch up on sleep and to give tuition :p heh.
ok, for those of you who dont believe it, me pk and jing were up in the skies for 1 odd hour circling around singapore, courtesy of jing's dad. its so amazing that you have people who have pilot licenses and are able to pilot you around in the skies freely. here are the photos(as usual) if you are wondering the authenticity of the story ;)
enjoy!
once in a lifetime.
