i haf always maintained to my parents that all i want in life is to get a simple job, and live life simple, just earning enough to support them and myself with minimum luxury. the will in that stand flattered come the decisions i take in this crossroads. now i understand why adults think something different from us: its not that they are of a different era but more of they went through the crossroads which we have yet to bypass. it is now that we begin to admire and be envious of fellow frens with financed cars, with cool gadgets, going overseas for studies with no financial worries. we den begin to want them for ourselves and a great life like that for our kids. so at this crossroads we begin to finally outweigh(at the very least, be more swayed to) future earnings to our dreams/aspirations to the noble wishes we had to change the world. its nothing wrong and it will never be. its part of growing up, and its safely to say that im at tat stage now. then, it seems that individual entity, again, can never be achieved and whatever selfish decision you choose to make is going to impact others tremendously and you cannot afford to ignore that fact.
amidst this on going transition to adulthood where we begin to indulge in luxury goods, spend more on fine-dining and developing our hobbies which haf sometimes, been restricted by our finances in our young age, we simply fail to start thinking about the world around us - the less fortunate. its regrettable that past this stage, many of us will fall into the abyss of money earning and the complete indulgence in our profession that the compassionate hearts we used to haf begins to take backstage. and this is very true. im not asking for the persistent reminders for yourself that you shud lookout and help the others who are not in so pleasant a situation than you, but to make an effort to realise that there are such people who need more help than you need a car to ferry you in air-condition to work. im not preaching for an annihilation of your luxury spendings, but mroe of an awareness that you shud not let your heart turn dull just because of the pursuit of achievements and material goods. you shud appreciate that it just takes a gd gesture or an effort to help someone that puts a smile on both person's faces and that's how you shud live life. its not point staring at your screen for the rest of your life and realising how long you actually had a genuine smile on your face. lets face it, we are all guilty of doing this time and time again as we begin to move our of our shells to make big bucks but lets not make it a tremendous habit which will eat into us at the end of our life journey. it shud never be that case, and its never too late to start right now. start doing something small for the people who need help around you, and you will find life much more meaningful. den you can fine-dine in any restaurant with an elegant and satisfied smile.
