big decisions are made by big babies

the very moment u think about your uni application state Imperial College, Aeronautical Engineering, accepted unconditionally is the very moment you remember its all a dream not too long ago. but its such a wonderful feeling to see that unconditionally accepted status on UCAS. but i guess i have to make a choice.

Dear Ruth,

I refer to my application, number XXXXXX, with an offer of a place
in Imperial for 2008 entry for course H401. Due to some ..., I will have to re-apply for a
different course, Mathematics, for 2008 entry. Hence I would not be
intending to take up the offered place and will be withdrawing my
application so that I will be able to re-apply through UCAS to UK for
2008 entry.

there are 2 biggest thing i lived to regret in my life.
1. the failure to look far and secure a place in Vj for the first 3 months in order to get the cut off of 2 more points for the 2nd intake entry. Its still sth i lived to regret until this very day. It has never hit me that i wud have considered any other school with the priority and desire to be part of it. i guess i have to live with that regret.
2. quitting soccer in jc. everytime i look at the PSC board in aj, i cant help to think why i shudnt be up there as the 2nd name in history. but in truth, i cant. its perhaps the biggest decision that served its repercussions later on in my life very significantly as my Achilles heel to many scholarship applications. im not ruminating that i shud have taken soccer jst for the sake of getting anything better than where i am, but im disappointed with myself that i forsaken my passion to pursue something redundantly. and disappointment lasts forever. that time could have been spent developing camaraderie with the other lads whom i actually come to realise are the most truthful group of ppl around in jc, and all of them meant well for the soccer team. i gave up on them, its something i know they haven gotten over, and soemthing i still hope now, that they hadnt blamed me and hated me for. it was a tough choice. a wrong choice.
