strength to carry on

u refer to the Straits Times and u see a furore over some displeasure over uni rejections, most ironically written in not by the students themselves but their parents, you cant help but laugh it off. its amazing to see the follow up to it. you haf a poly student writing in personally not to comment about the topic but to deviate and exclaim his genuine (after entering uni) concern over the apparent apathy of jc kids and how their parents have to do the dirty job instead. so, the point being? you have people who try to write in and show how many As and Ds his kid has but yet, rejected for a course which very obviously requires a decent GP result and audible speech to get in. no, stopping there wasnt enough and he called for transparency of the uni application process. issnt it obvious enough that the guy cant formulate a letter to fight for his own right? he doesnt show desire himself? he doesnt have the capability to mount that course? it just really leaves u no question to why did the university rejected that application. with that, so what's the point of him writing in? then there was the lady who wrote in over the results of her daughter and then lumping it with her son who did 2nd upper honours with almost the same set of poor results years back. cool huh. point being?
Cant we just see the bloody big thing they want to refer to? It seems much more than just the retarded topic which they are interested. its really just the human mind of bringing attention to something so subtly with another bigger debatable topic. we refer to the elitist behaviour of many upper class people with so much interest and 'disgust' that we forget that we are invariantly part of the human community that portrays such sentiments with reflex. i dont consider myself elite nor non-elite, just an inbetween but i do see that there are times when we(i am now on the non-elite side) feel a sense of being looked down upon by the elites of just not being able to match them in whatever yardstick we use and i do see times when we(on the elite side now) feel a sense of being just a normal person but yet being compared to others even when we see no difference between us. its a normal behaviour where-ever we are. cant we just accept that and move on with it? or try our best to mix up and see that there's actually no difference? we are still humans after all i must concur and its much left to our instincts to sort this thing out. there will still be people who will write in. that's the conclusion i guess.

on a lighter note, thou same topic, check this out. i got this excerpt from a forum thread in clubsnap discussing a picture posted by this guy aloyyolaaloy of a girl crying and pointing to his camera. and so it goes..
aloyyolaaloy: Mummy! he have a camera
deckard: i really hate to correct the grammer....
good shot! crying girls are so cute.
aloyyolaaloy: its cuter with broken english
thank you
sprintist: should be grammar..lol

period.
its equally amazing how each individual respond to things, its jst so unique.
