I shall sit on the grass patch outside my house and look into the sky. maybe there will come a day a lappy falls from the sky. DEN IT WILL BE MINE :)
ok. i profess i dream alot. come on, its just cause tat is what keeps life going.
MAN, i cant believe that after a 2 year hiatus from studying im actually picking up books and do serious readings. the times i've visited a library this week alone is even higher than the times i went to the library in the past 2 years. but its crazily interesting to learn new stuff. i mean its like you are free to acquire whatever knowledge you like to know more about without concern of making it your life. its just to enrich yourself so that whatever interesting gets in and makes you a more informed individual. say you loved the allele chapter in bio when you took it in sec sch but haven been doing bio ever since, its so nice to read more and do your own cross matching for those dominant genes or sth, or say you cud never figure out how platonic plates move and upon reading you actually realise for 18 years you have been treating an idea with a totally wrong connotation that it should have been tectonic plates. for me, its economics and more of it! seeing how money flows around the economy is so nice and it was well with the knowledge that i shudnt take it for exams cause i cant write fast for nuts sake and now its so nice to read and understand it at leisure.
when you start getting some exposure to university its really amazing the value people put to life long learning. in libraries you see scores of people studying, even adults on their lappies typing away at the millionth study corner. take a break and surf facebook, you see tonnes of people with their groups berkeley 09, imperial 08, cambridge 11, and most of them not one but 2, 3 and counting. its so mind blowing this glaring statistic of people around. its not wrong, i am never of the suggestion. its fun to learn things as life goes on, its a form of entertainment and self-improvement but it shudnt be quite hardly taken as a mindless pursuit. yups.
sometimes i walk on the road i see the people who walk past me, i begin to imagine them as businessmen, some top auditor, some engineer who helped build louvre, some MIT student, some f16 pilot. its really hard to imagine that they cud really be these people. man..
after seeing jing's frens at shanghai american school, i find the idea of studying abroad in a cosmopolitan environment simply irresistible. almost a quarter thru my life, i have never pictured myself in UK alone scurrying through classrooms doing my parents proud back at home. sometimes there are things that hold you back and you do not want to give up the pursuit back home but its always worth a look outside. the beautiful world which awaits is so majestic that it will take you off your feet and immerse yourself in history books, in culture which we never could talk about in this place of 4 million immigrants. man, im so more determined to get into the top college in UK. i must !!! godspeed.
im so proud. the word metatarsal is gaining popularity amongst everyone. thanks to rooney, beckham and now, daniel agger of liverpool. 6 years back, telling anyone about my metatarsal fracture would be crazy, as they will go "just say toe la!" haha. i still prefer metatarsal, its cool. but the background of that fracture was.. haha not very proud to spk of. but it all happened in the name of football. do i get a standing beside the greats with that?
TMR is the last time i will book in on a sunday for exercise. even better, its the last exercise of my NSF life. cutting the idea shorter, its the 3rd last day before i go on a 24 days leave break and return to camp to collect my pink ic thereafter. WONDERFUL. i shall sleep. its SWEET this time.
