sometimes i am tempted to draft out the things i have done this year and evaluate the year so far. but i felt that's going to make me stop working hard on making this year a fabulous one. i can see it slowing turning out to a really linking and developing journey so far, striking quite afew stuff off the wishlist i set for myself the start of the year. its amazing to realise that being busy is in fact a satisfaction and joy in itself. its even more majestic to look at the puzzled look disappearing off the faces of the young fledglings. that's the reason that makes teaching such a rewarding career. if anyone wanted to daunt me by telling me that "being a teacher is momentarily fun. one miracle happens and it makes you happy but that's only for awhile, and that's not reality." i can now confidently defend my stand that "being a teacher is believing that all of your students are miracles themselves, and that's what matters, otherwise you will never be a worthy teacher."
believe. that's the greatest advice anyone can receive or offer. whether it is in yourself or in others.
that's prolly the most important thing i realised in this short space of 2 years after my depature from a mixed feeling jc life. skepticism apart, i really think believing in yourself or in others will create some sort of powerful hope within the person which actually spurs performance and resoluteness. it is far more empowering than giving orders or guidance definitely.
that's the reason to how manchester united came from behind to win the treble in the 1999 champions league final, how liverpool thumped 3 goals in the 2nd half to sink the milan rampage in the '05 finals, how manu overturned their fortunes at old trafford last night to win milan 3-2 on aggregate despite trailing in halftime. it all mattered that fans around the world believed in them no matter how bad their situation was, their manager believed in his pool of wonderful players. and the players believed in themselves. they never looked back.
there are many other examples to quote, but i aint going so deep into it as to discuss that topic over here. yes, its much a one sided point of view for those who choose not to come to terms with it, but i do hope as time goes by, do give it a try. for all you know, you wud achieve something you never thought you would achieve. like i did.
