happy new year

happy new year!
the fireworks at esplanade was fabulous, some 5 minutes worth of entertainment that was supposedly choreographed by some famous chinese guy. anyways, the most obvious theme was some kind of chinese styled new year - not really fascinating to me as its supposed to be just simple 2007 ushering. anyways, the grandeur and excitement surrounding that was more than enough to compensate. jst that the crowd was scary, but yea. we conquered that. haha, tat's just cause we bashed thru plants (i know its morally wrong, prosecute me then) and jaywalked even with barricades. surprisingly enough we were actually stopped by this 'fuming' cisco crowd control policeman and given a huge dressing down in front of quite a big crowd of our jaywalking action. sighs, like plz, we are young, and so happen we crossed, thanks, so we are the ones who will serve as a warning to the rest not to jaywalk. our age was why he scolded us. our age. anyways, we got round it and the day ended quite late, some 3am den reached home. satisfying though. yups.

new year is supposed to be auspicious and beautiful. its supposed to be hopeful.

2007 was ushered by new members of the new, with spectacular fireworks and celebrations in taiwan, hongkong and other major cities in the world. but bangkok ushered the new year with 8 bombings. indonesia welcomed 2007 with a lost contact with a domestic plane carrying some 100 odd people. saddam hussein closed the 2006 chapter with his hanging, leaving the big question mark over the troubled areas, not a conclusion. last year, the closure to 2005 was the tragic tsunami that claimed the lives of, amazingly, hundreds of thousands, this year we had an internet catastrophe from the same reasons - earthquake. the damaged underwater cables laid along taiwan waters when the quake struck left the world stranded for bandwidth, leaving economies stranded, stock markets standingstill, people losing millions of dollars. but, 2006 was equally good a year to come, we all realised. will 2007 be how the fireworks describe it to be?

ok, this year is gonna be simple for me.
its happy new year, pull your ears! urgh, no. -.- im not tat childish.
anyways, its a tough year in ns basically.
lotsa shit's coming back, when i tot they flowed away just b4 the countdown days to 2007.
they are going to kill me, but i shall go strength to strength and get over and done with ns.

never get sucked into the whirlpool of what society shapes up.
count my pennies!
i know this is corny and so ms universe-like, but yea, the world to realise that its only when we work hand in hand that we rise together. (u expected world peace? (: im not tat corny yet. )
smoke free world? i was damn sad when i saw one of my quite good fren smoking in one of her pictures. i know its not wrong, nothing to do with moral values and stuff, but its a disrespect to your own body, and to me, its very sad.
stay young!
